Will Sumner,
Lead Solar Consultant
Will grew up in Park City, Utah where cycling and skiing became ingrained as a lifestyle. He also watched this small town
grow with an unrelenting disregard for open space, water use and aesthetics. This in no small way led to his decision to
study Human Resource Management at Western Washington University in Bellingham. Having pursued the dream of
becoming an avalanche professional, he moved to Hawaii to learn about solar and begin a career in renewable energy.
There he installed over 100 solar photovoltaic and solar thermal systems, from small residential to large commercial
arrays. In Seattle he loves working with renewable energy while splitting his free time between the Cascades and the
waves of the Olympic Peninsula.
